A Magical Intimate Wedding - Megha and Jay

Love knows no bounds, and when it comes to celebrating that love, the possibilities are endless. In a world where grand weddings often take the spotlight, Megha and Jay both hail from Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, decided to embrace the beauty of simplicity and opted for a wedding filled with love, tradition, and laughter. Let's dive into the journey of their Mehendi, Haldi, and wedding ceremony, where every detail radiated warmth and joy.

The festivities commence at Megha’s Nani’s old house, the house was decorated with vibrant décor, marigold flowers, and fairy lights adorning every corner.

The air was filled with laughter, and chatter of her family, especially of her cousins, nieces & nephews with the melodious sounds of traditional Garhwali music in the background. Megha, adorned her hands and feet with intricate mehendi designs, symbolizing love, and prosperity.

Next on the journey was the Haldi, everyone dressed up so elegantly! All the married women in the family wore their traditional Garhwali Nath (Nathuli), her brothers looked dapper wearing yellow-tone kurtas while her sisters were spellbinding in their yellow-hued kurtis and saree.

In observance of their pahadi tradition, they ceremoniously applied haldi to Megha in a loving manner. After that, it was nothing but laughter and loud chatter as they played with haldi while chasing one another around and dousing each other in this golden hue.

Finally, the grand finale arrived, the day started early for the family as Megha & Jay chose to tie the knot in a day wedding. The ceremony started with the arrival of Jay, accompanied by his excited family and joyous close friends.

Megha gracefully walked down the aisle accompanied by her brothers and sisters, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

The sath phere were performed under a beautifully decorated mandap. The mandap was adorned with fresh flowers, delicate drapes, and intricate details, creating a serene and divine ambiance.

Their intimate wedding was a testament to the fact that a wedding is about embracing traditions, laughter, family, some corny jokes, and most importantly of all - love!
